Armed Robbery – Please Help Identify

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a person responsible for armed robbery, assault, and battery.

On January 11, 2016, the victim responded to a Craigslist advertisement to meet another male for a sexual encounter. The two communicated via text message and agreed to meet near the 700 block of Broadway.    When the victim arrived, he was approached by a man carrying a rifle, who ultimately stole the victim’s phone after assaulting him and fled from the area.

The suspect (pictured below) is believed to be a male black adult, in his mid-20s. He is described as being approximately 5’11’’, with a lean, muscular build, short black hair, no facial hair, and with a dark complexion.  At the time of the robbery, the suspect was seen wearing a red windbreaker jacket, a white shirt, and dark jeans.

The Sacramento Police Department urges anyone with information pertaining to this robbery to contact the dispatch center at (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
