Attempted Kidnapping

On Wednesday, March 3, 2016, the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 6600 block of Cougar Drive regarding an attempted kidnapping.

During the preliminary investigation, officers confirmed that the victim, a 35-year-old female was walking near the 6600 block of Cougar Drive at approximately 10:49 a.m., when she was approached by a male driving a white, full-size truck.  The suspect reportedly asked the victim for directions, replicated a firearm and demanded her to get into his truck.  The victim fled on foot and the suspect was last seen driving northbound on Cougar Drive towards Elder Creek Road.

Below is a composite sketch that depicts what the suspect is believed to look like based on witness accounts.  The physical descriptor of the suspect is a Hispanic male adult with short, black, wavy hair and a mustache.  He is approximately 40-50 years old and short in height.  The suspect vehicle is described as a white, extended-cab truck with paper plates and tinted windows.
