Please Help Identify- Sexual Assault

The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying and locating a sexual assault suspect.

On Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 12:03 a.m., officers responded to the 4900 block of Mack Road regarding a robbery.  Officers contacted the female victim who had sustained non-life threatening-injuries and it was immediately confirmed she had been sexually assaulted.

During the preliminary investigation, it was determined the victim was walking through an apartment complex when a male suspect approached her from behind armed with a knife.  The suspect stole the victim’s cell phone and sexually assaulted her.  After the assault, the suspect fled on foot.

Below is a composite sketch that depicts what the suspect is believed to look like and is based on the victim’s account of the assault.  The suspect is described as a Black male, in his 20’s, 5’8”-5’9” tall, and with skinny build.  The suspect wore a black colored baseball-style hat with red colored horizontal stripes, black t-shirt, black pea-coat style jacket and black pants.

The Sacramento Police Department encourages any witnesses with information regarding this assault to contact the dispatch center at (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or submit an anonymous tip using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app.  Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
