On Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 12:45 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department received several reports of gunfire in the area of Edgeware Way and Harrow Drive.
Officers responded to the area and located an unresponsive male juvenile in the front yard of a residence in the 4900 block of Harrow Drive. They discovered the victim had sustained multiple life-threatening gunshot wounds. Sacramento Fire personnel responded to the scene and determined that the victim was deceased at that time.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to collect evidence and canvass the area for potential witnesses.
No arrests have been made at this time but the investigation remains very active. A specific motive has not yet been established. Detectives believe that this is an isolated incident and there does not appear to be any immediate threat to the neighborhood. Investigators are asking for the community’s help for any information pertaining to this homicide. The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
