In preparation for the upcoming opening of Golden One Center, the Sacramento Police Department is holding Arena Orientation Training for its officers.  This training will be attended by all police employees who will be working events at the new arena. 

The focus of the training is to educate and orient officers to the new landscape that Golden One Center will create in the core area of the city.  Officers will learn the emergency response procedures, location of parking available to the public, way-finding and the transportation management plan for vehicles, pedestrian flow, public transit and bicycles related to the new environment surrounding the arena.

Additionally, this training will give officers a first-hand glimpse of the comprehensive security plan that will be implemented to ensure visitors have a safe, fun and hassle-free experience.  Each event held at Golden One Center will bring excitement to the downtown area where thousands of people from around the region will have the opportunity to experience and enjoy what Sacramento has to offer.
