On Friday, September 2, 2016, at 9:45 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 7200 block of Gloria Drive regarding the call of a hit and run involving a motorcyclist.
When officers arrived on scene, they located an unresponsive 26-year-old, female motorcyclist lying along the west curb-line in front of 7204 Gloria Drive. The Sacramento Fire Department responded to the location and transported the female to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.
The Sacramento Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation Unit responded to the scene to begin their investigation. Based on preliminary evidence, it appears the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Gloria Drive when she was struck by a vehicle that was pulling out of a driveway along Gloria Drive. After the collision, the vehicle turned northbound on Gloria Drive and left the scene.
The suspect vehicle was described as a late model silver sedan, possibly a Honda or Hyundai. The vehicle may have damage to the driver’s side.
The Sacramento Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying the driver and the vehicle that fled the scene.
