Today, the Sacramento Police Department had the distinct pleasure of hosting twelve Police Chiefs from Bosnia. During their visit, these delegates met with several of the department’s command staff to hear about the department and the way it is currently structured.
The delegates attended a presentation on the department’s Field Training Program, the evaluation process of new officers and the Continued Professional Training that officers attend each year. They were also given a first hand, guided tour of the Northern California Regional Public Safety Training Authority (NCRPSTA) where the Sacramento Police Academy is currently located. During the tour, they were shown the Police Academy facility which included: Force Options Simulator, Tactical Scenario Training Village, K-9 training facility, classrooms and the variety of training areas.
The Sacramento Police Department is proud to have been chosen as one of the three organizations in the nation to host these delegates. It is an honor and a pleasure to be able to share in dialog with officials from around the world to hear their perspectives on law enforcement training.
