On Sunday, October 2, 2016, at 4:07 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 2600 block of 59th Street regarding a man seen bleeding in front of a residence.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male in his 30s in front of the home. The man had suffered a traumatic injury and was being attended to by medical personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department. Despite lifesaving efforts by first responders, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to collect evidence and canvass the area for potential witnesses.
A specific motive has not yet been established in this case but the investigation remains active. No arrests have been made. Investigators are asking for the community’s help in providing any information regarding this incident.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
