The Sacramento Police Department would like to provide the community with an updated list of Police Observation Device (POD) cameras throughout the city. 

The POD cameras were initiated in 2014 and have proven to be a successful investigative tool for officers and detectives.  The cameras alert officers to stolen vehicles, missing persons and felony warrants.  These cameras have the capacity of being monitored in real time or accessible to investigators after an incident.  Since the construction of Golden 1 Center, an additional 10 PODS were installed downtown which brings us to a total of 46 PODS to the city.  These cameras run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and work as a crime deterrent for the city of Sacramento.
