Throughout the month of October, the Sacramento Police Department collected donations on behalf of the Albie Aware Breast Cancer Foundation.  Today, the department presented the Foundation with funds donated by officers and the community to help fight this deadly disease.  This year, a limited edition, breast cancer awareness pin was designed and authorized to be worn by uniformed personnel for the month of October.    Each day, thousands of people are affected by this horrible disease, no matter their situation.   These donated funds will be used to provide assistance for diagnostic testing, patient advocacy, prevention education and support to local individuals facing or fighting breast cancer.
