On Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11:40 a.m., Sacramento Police officers were in the area of Massie Court when they were hailed by motel staff regarding an unresponsive female inside a motel room. 

When officers arrived on scene, they located the unresponsive female adult inside a room at The Best Western motel.  The Sacramento Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim deceased.  During the preliminary investigation, officers located trauma to the victim’s head. 

Homicide detectives along with Crime Scene Investigators were summoned to the scene to begin collecting evidence, and canvassing the area.

The investigation continues to be active and no arrests have been made.  Investigators are asking for the community’s help for any information pertaining to this homicide. 

The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
