On Sunday, January 1, 2017, the Sacramento Police Department investigated a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred at Rio Linda Boulevard and Alamos Avenue. The original news release can be found here: http://www.sacpd.org/newsroom/releases/liveview.aspx?release_id=20170101-00 .
Investigators have obtained photographs of a vehicle that they believe was involved in the fatal collision. The vehicle is a white-colored 1999-2002 Chevrolet pickup with darker colored rocker panels. The truck has dark-colored aftermarket rims with a polished outer lip. It sustained obvious front end damage to the hood and grill and is believed to be missing a headlight.
