On April 4, 2017, the Sacramento Police Department arrested 18-year old, Dyllon Wolfe in connection with the murder of Shafiyyah Roberts.
The shooting occurred on Friday, December 23, 2016, at 2:52 p.m. The Sacramento Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Isabel Street regarding the report of a female that had been shot. When officers arrived, they located Shafiyyah Roberts unresponsive in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Lifesaving efforts were performed at the scene and Roberts was transported to a local area hospital for her injuries. Shafiyyah Roberts ultimately succumbed to her injuries on December 26, 2016.
During the investigation, detectives interviewed witnesses and received information that Roberts was driving westbound on Isabel Street when her vehicle was fired upon. At that time, she was struck by the gunfire, rendering her unconscious. The vehicle veered off the roadway and came to a stop on the north sidewalk on Isabel Street.

Wolfe was arrested on February 18, 2017 on unrelated charges and has been in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail since that date. The motive behind the homicide is still unknown.
