On Friday, May 12, 2017, at approximately 11:37 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 300 block of Silver Eagle Road regarding a welfare check of a female.
A citizen, concerned about the female’s condition, responded to the residence to check on her. After several attempts to contact the female at her house, the citizen made entry and located her unresponsive. The complainant called the police department to report the discovery.
Upon arrival, officers were directed by the citizen to the unresponsive, female adult who appeared to be deceased. Medical personnel were summoned to respond and confirmed that the female was not alive.
The identity of the deceased victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once the proper notifications have been made to the next of kin.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to take over the investigation and to canvass the area for any potential evidence or witnesses. At this time, Investigators do not know the cause of death. Investigators are working to identify other outstanding persons who may have been present when the death occurred.
