On Monday, August 14, 2017 at approximately 6:06 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department were requested by the Fire Department to respond to the levee area of Garden Highway and Natomas Park Drive for a suspicious dead body. Fire personnel originally responded to the call and located the deceased in a remote location on the levee. When patrol officers arrived, they observed a deceased male adult with advanced stages of decomposition.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin notifications have been completed. Detectives are asking for the community’s help in providing any information they may have in this case.
