On Monday, August 28, 2017, at approximately 3:57 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Erickson Street regarding a subject who had been shot several times. Officers arrived and located the victim, who was later transported to a local area hospital where she is undergoing treatment and is expected to survive.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 29-year-old, Randy Wallace the suspect in the shooting. It is believed that the shooting stemmed from a verbal argument that occurred between the adult female and Wallace who were in a prior relationship.

Wallace is described as follows:

Male, White, 5’11” tall, 220 pounds, short red hair, tattoos on both side of his neck. The left side has the names, “Yvonne” and “Alyssa” and the right side has the name, “Jaquelin.”

The Sacramento Police Department encourages any witnesses with information regarding this assault or Wallace’s location to contact the dispatch center at (916) 264-5471, 911 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or submit an anonymous tip using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
