On Sunday, April 30, 2017, at approximately 4:34 p.m., Sacramento Police Officers responded to the 7900 block of 48th Ave regarding a subject that had been shot. The first police officers to arrive on scene located an unresponsive, black adult male with multiple gunshots to his body. The victim, later identified as twenty-nine-year-old, Dion Harris, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses interviewed at the scene stated that Dion had come out of the house and was standing by the street for approximately 1 minute when a dark colored SUV pulled up next to him. The driver of this vehicle, shot the victim with a silver colored handgun and then fled the scene. Several .45 caliber shell casings were found at the scene.
Sacramento Police Detectives are looking for anyone with information to this homicide or the identity of the driver/vehicle. They are described as follows:
• The vehicle is described as a black colored Nissan Rogue SUV, 2014-2016, with chrome trim.
• The driver is described as a black male adult, skinny with a medium complexion and a fade haircut.
