On Sunday, November 19, 2017, at approximately 2:15 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department were called to an apartment in the 5900 block of Riza Avenue regarding a subject who had been stabbed.
When officers arrived on scene they located an adult male with at least one stab wound to his upper body. Officers on scene administered cardio pulmonary resuscitation (C.P.R.) until relieved by medical personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified 25-year-old Arturo Hernandez as the suspect in this violent attack.
Hernandez is known to law enforcement and is considered armed and dangerous so DO NOT attempt to contact him but rather notify local authorities of his location. The Sacramento Police Department is actively looking for Hernandez.
Hernandez is described as follows:
Male, Hispanic, 5’7” tall, 220 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes. At this time, the weapon used in the murder has not been recovered.
