On Friday, January 26, 2018, at approximately 9:51 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department were called to the 300 block of Seavey Circle, after receiving a 911 call regarding a shooting. Officers arrived and located two male adults, each of whom sustained a gunshot wound. Officers immediately took lifesaving measures until relieved by Sacramento Fire Department personnel. Both victims were transported by the Sacramento Fire Department to a local area hospital. Ultimately, one male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The other male adult is in stable condition. Officers conducted an initial canvas of the area for witnesses and evidence. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene investigators were called to the scene to take over the investigation. At this time, a motive for the shooting has not been determined. The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
