On Saturday, January 13, 2018, at approximately 10:42 a.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Florin Road regarding a shooting.
Officers arrived and located one male adult victim who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. Officers summoned medical personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department. Medical personnel transported the victim to a local area hospital for treatment.
Based on the nature of the injuries, detectives were called to the scene to take over the investigation.
On February 1, 2018, the Sacramento Police Department was notified that the victim who was located on the 1100 block of Florin Road had succumbed to his injuries. The Homicide Unit has now taken over the investigation.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
