On Friday, March 30, 2018 at approximately 3:02 a.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department were requested by the Sacramento Fire Department to respond to a residence in the 6200 block of Riverside Boulevard for a medical aid call.
When patrol officers arrived, they observed two adults, each of whom sustained a gunshot wound. Fire personnel arrived and pronounced both adults deceased at the scene.
Officers conducted an initial canvas of the area for witnesses and evidence. Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to take over the investigation. While the investigation is still very active, detectives believe this is an isolated incident.
The identity of the deceased adults will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin notifications have been completed.
