On Thursday, May 10, 2018, at approximately 1:47 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to a residence in the 3200 block of Del Paso Blvd regarding a physical disturbance.
While officers were en-route, information was received that a subject had been shot. When officers arrived, they located a male adult, who had at least one gunshot wound. Officers provided initial medical care until the fire department arrived and transported the victim to a local area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital by medical personnel. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were called to the scene to assist in the investigation. At this time the incident is actively being investigated and appears to be an isolated incident.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
