On June 13, 2018, at approximately 2:10 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to the area of Northgate and Outbound Highway 160 regarding a deceased subject who was found by a passerby. Officers arrived on-scene and located a deceased male adult in the vicinity. Officers conducted an initial canvas of the area for witnesses and evidence. During the initial investigation, responding officers determined that the death was suspicious.
Due to the nature of the discovery, Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to take the lead on the investigation. At this time, a motive for the homicide has not been determined.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
