The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a suspect involved in two robberies that have occurred at local businesses along Stockton Boulevard.
The first robbery occurred on June 9, at approximately 11:11 a.m., at a business in the 6100 block of Stockton Boulevard. The victim, an elderly female Asian, was shopping while holding her purse in her left hand. The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse and ran out of the store. The Victim was not injured.
The second robbery occurred on June 13, at approximately 12:42 p.m., at a business in the 6600 block of Stockton Boulevard. The victim, an elderly female Asian, was shopping while holding her purse in her right hand. The suspect ran up from behind her, grabbed her purse and ran off. During the purse snatch, the victim fell to the ground, causing her head to hit the asphalt. The victim was transported to a local area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives are actively investigating both robberies and attempting to identify the suspect responsible for these violent crimes. At this time, detectives believe the same suspect committed both robberies.
The attached photos were captured by surveillance cameras in the area of both robberies.
The suspect is described as a male black, late teens, short braids, wearing a white tank top, black sweatpants and white shoes.
