On Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at approximately 10 p.m. officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 3800 block of Fell Street regarding a stabbing. When officers arrived on scene, they located a male adult with multiple stab wounds. Officers immediately performed life saving measures until relieved by medical personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department. The victim was transported to a local area hospital with life-threatening-injuries. Despite life saving measures at the hospital, the victim did not survive his injuries and was later pronounced deceased. Responding officers conducted an initial canvas of the area for witnesses and evidence. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene investigators were called to the scene to take over the investigation. While the investigation is still very active, detectives believe this is an isolated incident. Additionally, a male adult suspect has been arrested for this incident. At this time, due the ongoing investigation, the identity of the suspect is not being released. The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
