On Friday, August 31, 2018 at approximately 7:17 a.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department were called to the 200 block of Jibboom Street regarding a subject found with traumatic injuries.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased white, male adult along the sidewalk of Jibboom Street, near the entrance of Discovery Park. The victim had obvious signs of trauma and appeared to be transient. Fire Department Personnel were present and pronounced the subject deceased.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded and took over the investigation. Officers canvassed the area for evidence and potential witnesses.
The cause of death has not been determined at this time and the identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin notifications have been completed.
