This upcoming Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there will be two running events that will impact traffic in the Sacramento area. On Friday, November 30^th, roads will be closed for set-up. On Saturday, December 1^st, roads will be closed for a 5K run. On Sunday, December 2^nd, roads will be closed for the California International Marathon (CIM). We want to make sure that we inform the community of upcoming road closures to allow everyone to plan accordingly and use alternate routes.

The following road closures will take place on Friday, November 30^th – Sunday, December 2^nd:

Friday, November 30: Set-up

Capital Mall between 8^th and 10^th Street: 8 a.m. Friday, November 30^th – 5 p.m., December 2^nd.

8^th Street between L and N Street: 2 p.m. Friday, November 30^th – 5 p.m., Sunday, December 2^nd. *Light rail tracks will remain open.

9^th Street between L and N Street: 2 p.m. Friday, November 30^th – 5 p.m., Sunday, December 2^nd. *Light rail tracks will remain open.

Capital Mall between 7^th Street and 8^th Street (south side only): 2 p.m. Friday, November 30^th – 5 p.m., December 2^nd.

10^th Street between L and N Street: 6 p.m. Friday, November 30^th – 5 p.m. Sunday, December 2^nd.

Saturday, December 1^st: 5K Run

L Street between 12^th Street – 15^th Street: 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.

13^th Street between L Street and K Street: 7 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Main Course Closure: 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. *Roads may open earlier once runners clear the course.

Sunday, December 2^nd: California International Marathon

N Street between 7^th Street and 10^th Street: 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Main Course Closures: 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. *Roads may re-open earlier once runners clear the course.

All roads will open by 5 p.m.
