On Sunday, December 30, 2018, at approximately 1:47 a.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department were called to the area of 7^th Street and K Street regarding a shooting.

Officers arrived and found a male adult with a gunshot wound. Officers immediately took lifesaving measures until relieved by Sacramento Fire Department personnel. While on-scene, the male succumbed to his injuries.

Additionally, responding officers located a female adult with a gunshot wound. Officers took lifesaving measures until relieved by the Sacramento Fire Department. The female was transported to a local area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers conducted an initial canvas of the area for witnesses and evidence. While conducting follow-up on the shooting, officers learned that two male adults were transported to a local area hospital for gunshot wounds related to this shooting. One male succumbed to his injuries and the other male sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene investigators were called to the area to conduct a thorough investigation. At this time, investigators have determined that these four subjects came from an area night club. A motive for the shooting has not been determined.

The identity of both male adult victims who succumbed to their injuries will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
