_{The Sacramento Police Department is committed to making sure our community enjoys a fun and SAFE New Year’s Eve. Please plan ahead and make smart choices to close out 2018. There will be a free Sky Spectacular Fireworks Show at 9:00 p.m. in Old Sacramento. The event runs from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. It is a free celebration open to all residents and features activities for the whole family to enjoy, including children’s programming/activities, live music, dinner specials, hot food and drink vendors and a variety of colorful street entertainment. There will not be a fireworks show at midnight. Please consider the following as you plan ahead:}

_{·               There will be no parking in Old Sacramento starting at 2:00 p.m.}

_{·               Old Sacramento closes to vehicle traffic starting at 5:30 p.m.}

_{·               The Tower Bridge will be closed to all traffic from 8:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.}

_{·               Vehicle traffic will be highly congested on 3rd Street, 8th Street, I Street, J Street, and Capitol Mall. Avoid these streets if possible.} 

_{·               Additional parking is on 10}^th _{Street, between I Street and J Street as Old Sacramento parking will fill up quickly.} 

_{·               Uber/Lyft/Taxi drop-off and pick-up is on 4}^th _{Street between L Street and Capitol Mall.}
