On Thursday, February 21, 2019, at approximately 8:06 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department were dispatched to Huber Court regarding a shooting.   

Officers arrived and located a male adult with a gunshot wound. Officers took life-saving measures until relieved by Sacramento Fire Department personnel. While on-scene, the male succumbed to his injuries.

Officers conducted an initial canvas of the area for witnesses and evidence. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators were summoned to the scene to take over the investigation.

While the investigation is still very active, detectives believe this is an isolated incident.  The involved parties have been identified and it has been determined that there are no outstanding suspects.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
