On Friday, April 12, 2019, at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to an elementary school in the 2200 block of John Still Drive due to a report of an attempt-kidnapping incident. Please refer to the original press release for further details.

After extensive follow-up investigation and diligent work by patrol officers, detectives and patrol supervisors, the suspect responsible for this crime has been arrested for kidnapping. On Saturday, April 13, 2019, the Sacramento Police Department arrested the suspect and located the vehicle used during the crime. 20-year-old Joseph Dumarce (see attached photo) was arrested in the area of Teekay Way and 24^th Street.
