The Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in identifying a suspicious subject involved in two recent incidents near two local schools. At this time, the investigation remains active and officers are conducting follow-up investigation on both incidents.

On Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at approximately 7:23 a.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 2100 block of Portola Way regarding a suspicious subject approaching a 15-year-old female who was walking to school. Based on the preliminary investigation, officers determined the suspect approached the female while driving a red Toyota Tacoma. The subject engaged in conversation and the female took off running. The suspect followed the female, then fled from the area.

Shortly after the first call, at approximately 8:15 a.m., officers responded to the same area due to an additional call that came in with similar circumstances. During this incident, the subject approached a separate 15-year-old female while driving a red Toyota Tacoma. The female took off running and the subject fled from the area.

At this time, investigators believe that the same subject was involved in both incidents. There have been no reported injuries during these incidents. The Sacramento Police Department is committed to working with our community to identify and locate this subject.

The subject is described as a male Hispanic, 30’s, 5’8”, stocky build, with a dark mustache, wearing a black shirt, black baseball hat and blue jeans. The vehicle driven by the subject was described as a red Toyota Tacoma with no rear plates. The attached photos are of the subject and the vehicle he was driving during these incidents.
