On Saturday, April 28, 2019, at approximately 2:03 a.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the area of Alhambra Boulevard and T Street regarding a major vehicle collision.
When officers arrived, they learned that a vehicle collided into a bicyclist. Fire personnel responded and transported the bicyclist to a local area hospital for serious injuries. Officers determined the involved vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
Responding officers conducted an initial canvas of the area for witnesses and evidence. During the preliminary investigation, officers determined the involved vehicle was traveling southbound on Alhambra Boulevard and collided with the bicyclist who was riding in the street, in a southbound direction. After the collision, the vehicle fled southbound on Alhambra Boulevard. At this point, it is unknown if impaired driving was a factor.
Based on evidence located at the scene, officers believe a Nissan type vehicle fled from the scene after the collision. The investigation remains active and the Sacramento Police Department is asking for the community’s help in providing any information related to this investigation.
