On Wednesday July 3, 2019, at approximately 5:05 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department responded to the area of Roseville Road and Connie Drive regarding a deceased body. When officers arrived, SFD was on scene and they located a deceased body in an open area, along the west side of Roseville Road and the railroad tracks.
Based on the trauma to the body and the location of where the body was at rest, the Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) responded to the scene to take over the traffic investigation. Detectives checked the area for additional evidence and witnesses. The investigation remains active.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.

Witnesses may also submit an anonymous tip using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
