On Friday, July 12, 2019, at approximately 9:13 p.m., officers from the Sacramento Police Department were called to the 3200 block of Marysville Boulevard regarding a shooting.
Officers arrived and located a male with at least one gunshot wound. Officers administered first aid until relieved by fire department personnel. Despite life saving measures, this male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers conducted an initial canvass of the area for witnesses and evidence. Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators have been called to the scene to take over the investigation. At this time, a motive for the shooting has not been determined. Based on preliminary information related to this investigation, detectives believe this is an isolated incident.
The identity of the male victim who died during this incident will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office once next of kin has been notified.
