The Sacramento Police Department is seeking the community’s help with locating a felony hit and run vehicle and driver. This is from a felony hit and run collision that occurred on Saturday August 24, 2019, at approximately 1:35 p.m., in the area of N.16th Street and McCormack Street. This continues to be an active investigation and detectives have obtained surveillance photos of the suspect vehicle. These photos are of the actual suspect vehicle before the collision took place, so these will not show any damage related to this incident.
The suspect vehicle is a newer model black Dodge Charger with dark, tinted windows all around. There may be front end damage and/or windshield damage due to the collision.
The Sacramento Police Department encourages any witnesses with information regarding this hit and run collision to contact the dispatch center at (916) 808-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Witnesses may also submit an anonymous tip using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
