On September 25, 2019 at approximately 1:50 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of 68th Avenue regarding a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located one male adult victim who had sustained a gunshot wound.
Responding officers administered first aid until relieved by fire department personnel. Despite life saving measures, this male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators have been called to the scene to take over the investigation
At this time, a motive for the shooting has not been determined. Based on preliminary information detectives believe this was an isolated incident. There is no current threat to our community related to this investigation.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identify of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
