Twin Rivers School District Hosts Active Shooter Training at Grant High School
On Thursday November 21, 2019 from the hours of 8:00 am to approximately 4:00 pm the Twin Rivers Unified School District Police Department, in conjunction with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office and the Sacramento Police Department, will be conducting an active shooter training on Grant Union High School’s campus.
The goal of this exercise is to provide fundamental training to first responders who are responding to a mass casualty incident, like an active shooter. SPD would like the surrounding community to know that during the day, residents in the area may hear intermittent high levels of noise, as law enforcement will be using blank firearm cartridges for training. Please note the training exercise poses no threat to the residents or our community.
More information regarding the training can be found on the Twin Rivers Unified School District website and Facebook page.
