The Run to Feed the Hungry returns this year on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday November 28th). This year, organizers are projecting to have the largest turn out ever with race attendance estimated at over 30,000 runners!
The run begins at CSUS Sacramento at 8:15 a.m. The course runs through parts of East Sacramento and finishes at 56th Street and H Street.
Residents in the area should expect road closures and delays along the route as early as 6:00 a.m. All roads are expected to be re-opened by 12 p.m. Uniformed Officers will be positioned at key intersections and will meter vehicles across the course when it is safe. Attached to this press release is a map, and plan for residents needing to exit specific areas during the closures. The exit plan is attached to this press release.
Runners attending the event should access Sacramento State using the entrances using College Town Drive. If you are participating in this event, plan extra time to get to the event as traffic and parking will be impacted.
