Sacramento Police Department detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in the 6700 block of Calvine Road. The suspect in this incident has been detained, and there is no active threat to the community. This investigation is in the very early stages and information is limited at this point. Additional details will be provided as they become available.
This afternoon, at approximately 3:44 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers received a call regarding a welfare check at a residence located in the 6700 block of Calvine Road. Upon arrival at the residence officers located a female adult victim who was deceased.
Officers immediately began an investigation into the incident and were able to identify a suspect in the case. The suspect was known to the victim. The investigation led to Roseville, where the Roseville Police Department took the suspect into custody.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
