The Sacramento Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the homicide that occurred on January 14, 2020 in the 6700 block of Calvine Road.  The suspect has been identified as 44-year-old Asghar Ehsan.  Ehsan has been booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide charges.

On January 14, 2020 at approximately 3:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 6700 block of Calvine Road regarding a welfare check.  When officers arrived on scene, they located a female adult victim who had been fatally stabbed. 

Officers immediately began an investigation into the incident and were able to identify a suspect in the case.  The suspect was known to the victim.  The investigation led to Roseville, where the Roseville Police Department took Ehsan into custody. 

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
