Sacramento Police Department homicide detectives have made an arrest in a shooting that occurred on December 8th, 2019. Through the diligent work of investigators, they were able to identify and arrest 24-year-old Larry Smith as the suspect in this shooting. Smith was already in custody on un-related charges at Sacramento County Main Jail when detectives booked him for homicide charges. There are no outstanding suspects in this case.
The homicide occurred in the early morning hours of December 8th, 2019 in the area of Emerson Road and Whittier Drive. One male adult was found with a gunshot wound and was declared deceased on scene. The original press release can be found below:
