The Sacramento Police Department has embarked on a recruiting campaign designed to ensure the highest quality candidates can apply. Former policies included a mandate on formal education credits as well as a ban on visible tattoos; both restrictions have been amended. The college education requirement has been waived for applicants with applicable military service, and visible arm tattoos are now allowed in uniform.
To launch the initiative #BeTheDifference, the Sacramento Police Department has released a recruiting video that can be seen here: https://youtu.be/xaRXwnndydg.
