On April 13, 2020, at approximately 5:05 a.m. the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 2100 block of Catskill Way after Sacramento Fire Department personnel had arrived on scene of a suspicious death. Officers arrived on scene and determined that the adult male had been stabbed.
Due to the fatality, Sacramento Police Department homicide detectives responded to take over the investigation. Crime scene investigators have also responded to assist with evidence collection. Detectives are in the preliminary stages of this investigation and information is limited. At this point detectives believe that there is no active threat to the community.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
