On April 30, 2020 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to a report of a man down in the 1800 block of Club Center Drive. Officers arrived on scene and located a male adult who had been stabbed. Sacramento Fire Department personnel arrived to render medical aid, but the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. Detectives are conducting a neighborhood canvass for possible witnesses and evidence. At this point, detectives believe this to be an isolated incident and do not believe that there is an active threat to the community.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
