On May 29, 2020 at approximately 11:34 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to an incomplete 911 call. When officers arrived they determined that a shooting had occurred. The victim, a male adult, had already been transported to a local hospital via private vehicle with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medical personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the hospital.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have taken over the investigation. This investigation is in the beginning stages and information is limited. Detectives do not have a suspect description to release at this time.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
