The Sacramento Police Department’s Major Collisions Investigations Unit (MCIU) is seeking the community’s assistance in locating a vehicle that was involved in a fatal hit and run collision that occurred on August 13, 2020 at 4th Street and I Street. Detectives are releasing these two photos of the suspect vehicle and are asking anybody with information regarding this vehicle to contact the police department.

The vehicle pictured below, struck a pedestrian crossing the street. The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene. The pedestrian was later pronounced deceased at a local hospital.
Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a black or grey 1998-2004 GMC Sonoma with moderate damage to the to the front passenger side bumper and hood. The photos provided were taken prior to the collision.

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000. Anonymous tips can also be submitted using the free “P3 Tips” smartphone app.
