On November 23, 2020 at approximately 6:55 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the area of Folsom Boulevard and Julliard Drive for reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision.  When officers arrived they located an adult female, down in the roadway, who had sustained serious injuries from the collision.  The female was pronounced deceased by fire personnel.  The involved vehicle fled the scene prior to officers arriving.

The Sacramento Police Department Major Collisions Investigations Unit (MCIU) has taken over the investigation. At this point in the investigation details are limited and detectives do not have a suspect description to provide.  Detectives will be conducting a canvass of the area for witnesses and surveillance footage. 

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
