On January 6, 2021, at approximately 11:16 a.m., Sacramento Police Department officers responded to Cavalier Way and Rosehall Way for the report of a person who appeared deceased and may have been shot. When officers arrived on scene, they located one male adult victim who was deceased in a vehicle. After further investigation it was determined by the Sacramento County Coroner that the victim had suffered a gunshot wound.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have taken over the investigation. This investigation is in the very early stages and details are limited. Detectives will be conducting a canvass of the area to locate witnesses or evidence related to this incident. There is no suspect description to release at this point.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victims after next of kin have been notified.
