On June 5, 2022, around 9 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 500 block of Arcade Boulevard for a report of shots fired that were heard. Responding officers located evidence of a shooting at the scene. A short time later, two male individuals were located at an area hospital, each with at least one gunshot wound. One of those individuals succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. At this time, it is believed that both individuals sustained their injuries from the shooting on Arcade Blvd. 

Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. They processed the scene and canvassed the area for witnesses and additional information. The circumstances of this incident area still under investigation and there is no suspect information to provide at this time. 

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.
